These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website, our services, and the gift card and partner-welcome claim forms operated by The Root and Scalp Spa ("we," "us," or "our"). By using our site, booking an appointment, or submitting a claim form, you agree to these Terms. Services, pricing, and availability are subject to change without notice.
Gift cards and welcome cards
Gift cards and partner welcome cards are promotional and apply toward services at The Root and Scalp Spa. Card values, doubling promotions, and validity windows are stated on the claim page at the time you claim the card and are subject to the terms shown there (for example, a value that doubles if you book within 48 hours and is valid for a limited period). Cards have no cash value, are non-transferable except as we permit through our referral program, and cannot be combined except as expressly stated.
Booking and appointments
Claiming a card does not by itself reserve an appointment. After you submit the form, you will be taken directly to our booking provider to schedule your appointment; your appointment is confirmed only once you complete booking there. We may reschedule or decline service as reasonably necessary. Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment; cancellations should be made in accordance with our posted cancellation policy, and late arrivals may result in a shortened service.
How we may contact you
We use the phone number you provide to help with your gift card or appointment. If you have not booked an appointment after activating your card, a team member may call you to help you schedule. We send marketing or promotional text messages only to clients who have expressly opted in. See our Privacy Policy for details.
SMS / text messaging terms
By providing your phone number and opting in, you consent to receive text messages from The Root and Scalp Spa, including appointment reminders, updates, and — if you opt in to them — promotional offers.
- Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us and any promotions you opt into.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier and plan.
- Reply STOP at any time to cancel. You will receive a one-time confirmation text that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive text messages from us unless you opt back in.

- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Participation in the SMS program is not a condition of purchasing any services or products.
Acceptable use
You agree to provide accurate information and not to misuse the claim forms, including submitting cards on behalf of people who have not asked to receive them, or attempting to circumvent referral limits. We may void cards or activations that appear fraudulent or abusive.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The site and promotions are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability arising from these Terms or a promotional card is limited to the stated value of the card.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
